Stange Energi chooses Quant!
Stange Energi has signed a contract with Rejlers Embriq for the purchase of the Quant smart grid platform supplied as Software as a Service (SaaS). A contract for the supply of Quant Flow for the handling of metering values for Elhub has also been signed.
“We have previously invested in AMS infrastructure supplied by Rejlers Embriq and are very happy with it,” says Harald Husom, CEO of Stange Energi.
“Looking at Quant was a natural step for us when we started thinking about buying a new centralised system,” explains Husom.
“We will be facing major changes in our sector in the coming years. We receive large volumes of data from the new smart meters and have to process these data as efficiently as possible. Quant represents a safe choice which has been tried and tested and purchasing Quant as a service feels very right to us as we are a relatively small energy company. It provides us with maximum flexibility and low risk,” says Husom.
Access to excellent functionality
“We believe that our service concept offers small and medium-sized energy companies a solution that is extremely competitive compared to standard acquisition models and in-house operation,” explains Director of Software at Rejlers Embriq Espen Kåsin.
“Our option allows customers access to excellent functionality and expertise for a low investment which provides a high level of cost efficiency and low risk. We are convinced that this will be the way of acquiring IT solutions in the future,” says Kåsin.
About the contract
The contract will run for three years and includes both Quant and Quant Flow supplied as SaaS and covers approximately 11,000 metering points. Project start-up is in January 2017 with completion expected in the autumn of 2017.
