Creating business value

“The energy industry is facing a significant transition and we have carried out a great deal of research to identify the right tools to use in the future,” explains General Manager Eirik Jørum at Orkdal Energi.

“We receive large amounts of data from the smart meters that we have installed. These data volumes have to be processed in the most efficient way possible to ensure that business value can be created from the data. We have decided that the centralised Quant system provided as a service is the best solution for us,” he says.

Purchasing services is the best solution

“We believe that our service concept offers small and medium-sized energy companies a solution that is extremely competitive compared to a standard purchase and in-house operation,” says Director of Software at Rejlers Embriq Espen Kåsin.

“In this way, customers gain access to extremely good functionality and expertise for a small investment which ensures high cost efficiency and low risk. We are convinced that this will be the way to purchase IT solutions in the future,” says Kåsin.

About the contract

The contract runs for three years and includes Quant supplied as SaaS, Metering and Grid covering approx. 7,000 metering points. The project start-up is in January 2017 with completion in the autumn of 2017.
